April Brew Blast

From the President

Well March has come and gone. We had a busy month preparing for and attending Bluebonnet, and ended the month with an awesome beer dinner. Although we did not win any medals for our beer entries, we did win some cool swag and we won Best Bar at Bluebonnet 2025 as voted on by the Bluebonnet Committee. I think I can speak for most club members past and present that our bar has more character and charm than most bars. Now, for the unsettling news. Unfortunately, the bar suffered damage to the refrigeration unit on this trip. After having it checked we discovered the repairs are going to be extensive. It will require taking the bar apart to get at the lines that need to be repaired. We will get into the details and options we have at the next club meeting April 12th. I would like all members to try and make it so we can choose the path forward. I do know that it will cost some money to fix whatever direction we go. I am trying to put together a raffle to raise some money and we can discuss other options at the meeting.

The next club meeting will be April 12 at Peggy and Gary’s house starting at 6:30.

The next beer dinner will be hosted by Pat and Marty April 26th.

Our Belgian Strong Golden Ale has been bottled and will be distributed at the next meeting except for the competition bottles. Preliminary sampling looks pretty good.
